Do you offer a senior discount?
Yes. Senior citizens get $50 off. Just mention our website when you call, or check the senior box on the estimate form.
Is the estimate really free?
Yes. We'll look at the job and give you a price at no charge and with no obligation.
How do you price a job?
By the size of the tree, where it stands, how hard it is to reach, and how much cleanup you want. You'll know the price before any work starts.
Can I send photos instead?
Yes. Text photos of the tree to 636-724-6675 for a faster first look. Big or complicated jobs still need us to see them in person.
Do I need to be home for the estimate?
Not always. If we can reach the tree and you tell us which one it is, we can often look without you there.
The work
Can you remove a tree that's right next to my house?
Yes. We take it down in sections and lower the pieces with ropes, the bucket truck or a crane so nothing lands on your home.
Will your equipment damage my lawn?
We plan where the truck and equipment go to protect your lawn and landscaping. Being respectful of your property is part of every job.
What happens to the wood and branches?
Branches are chipped and hauled away. Logs can be hauled off or cut to firewood length and left for you.
Do you grind stumps?
Yes. Stump grinding can usually be done the same visit as a removal.
Insurance & safety
Are you insured?
Yes, Kottman's Tree Service is fully insured. Ask us for proof of insurance with your estimate.
A tree is touching a power line. Can you help?
Call your electric company first and stay away from the line. Once the line is safe, we can take care of the tree.
Does homeowner's insurance pay for tree removal?
Often when a tree damages your house or another covered structure, but every policy is different. Check with your insurance company.
