Stump grinding
Get rid of the stump for good. We grind it below the surface so you can plant grass, garden or build right over the spot.

Stumps gone, not just cut down
A stump grinder chews the stump into wood chips below ground level, so there's nothing left to trip over or mow around.
- Stumps ground below ground level
- Surface roots around the stump ground down too
- Single stumps or every stump in the yard
- Old stumps from past removals
- Chips raked out and hauled off, or left as mulch
- Grinding done the same visit as a tree removal when possible
Reasons to grind that stump
Tripping hazard
Stumps and roots are easy to trip over, especially for kids and guests.
Mower damage
Mowing around a stump is a pain, and hitting one can ruin a blade.
New sprouts
Some stumps keep sending up shoots that turn into new trees.
Pests
Rotting stumps attract ants, termites and other insects.
Room to use
Get the space back for grass, a garden bed, a patio or a fence.
Curb appeal
A clean lawn looks better and helps when you sell.
In Missouri, underground utilities can be marked for free by calling 811 (Missouri One Call) before digging or grinding. Ask us about it when you schedule.
How deep do you grind?
Below ground level, deep enough to cover with topsoil and grow grass. If you need it deeper for a patio or footing, let us know on your estimate.
Can you grind a stump next to a fence or house?
Usually yes. Our equipment can work close to fences, walls and walkways. We'll check access during the estimate.
What happens to the wood chips?
We can rake them out and haul them away, or leave them for you to use as mulch.
How much does stump grinding cost?
It depends on the stump's size, how many there are and how easy they are to reach. The estimate is free.
